The term "release" is misleading

The term "release" in "release build" is misleading. At least in my work environment, we use the term "release" to solely refer to production releases. It's therefore awkward to say something is "ready for retest" only after it has been "released". I think the term needs to change, and whatever it is changed to should connote testing rather than releasing. Perhaps "test build" is enough.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the workflow design for releasing builds and marking things as "ready for retest". I just think the name is misleading.
